When the Tsunami hit on December 26, none of us could have imagined the devastation.

                         Three months later, it is amazing how things are rebuilding.     

           After the wave, the village of Baan Nam Khem was completely swept away.

                 Two months later, it was cleared, staked out, and ready to rebuild.
By March many of the homes have been rebuilt, and families are moving back to resume
living in Baan Nam Khem.

 The thriving fishing industry was wiped out.  Of the over 200 fishing boats, only two remained sea worthy.

                    In March boats are being rebuilt and repaired, and are heading back to sea!!!

              Many hotels and villages were completely destroyed in the Khao Lak area.
The junk dealers are doing a thriving business as the area is cleared, and the rebuilding begins.

                                            People are restarting their lives!!!!!!  

                                                But best of all, children are no longer lost.

                           They are with loved ones, and back in school and smiling once again!!!

                           Let us all hope for a bright future for these wonderful people!!!
